[2ch] Crazy SHAFT - even involved in new Yu-gi-oh series

If you see the right down bottom of the credit, Shaft is there. They are providing original pictures (Genga) for new Yu-gi-oh animation.

I mean seriously. Who's the boss of Shaft? (Tip: It's not Shinbo who is responsible for adding new project, it is head of the company.) They have tons of work in hand, and they still have time (or need-for-moneymoneymoney) to help on other mainstream-animation work? Hell, that's one crazy stuff.

I think I saw SHAFT's name in Potemayo a long time ago too. I was confused and wondering if my Japanese was okay.

I wonder what the shots look like anyway.

Yup, SHAFT helped in the first episode of Potemayo. It was curious to me too.

  6. Eh.. Most studio's help out on lots of other anime prodictions.. and it's not like SHAFT actually animated this episode... like how Bee Train animated a few episodes of Code Geass and how some other studio animated quite a few episodes of SHAFT'S ef series....

  7. @Westlo: The problem is, does Shaft actually have enough time for subcontraction works? My answer is no... that's why.

  8. Then again, classic bastard
Maybe they did it because they need a little extra cash? Oh well. That's a good reason but it's unlikely. W/e.

  9. It depends on exactly what they did, if they have people around doing nothing than it makes sense to sub contract them out for a few days. It's not like they don't sub contract people themselves. Studios do favors for each other all the time.
