[Madoka] Volume BD 1st "DAY" sales - 22,000!!!!

http://mantan-web.jp/2011/04/28/20110428dog00m200055000c.html

The 'FIRST DAY' sales of Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica BD was 22,000. This has already passed Infinite Stratos first WEEK sales, 21,574. (lol)

Now... I really wonder how much this will sell more. Due to recall, I don't think first week sales will be necessarily important. We need to wait at least 2 more weeks to see its true ownage.

My current prediction:
1st week: BD = 55,000 DVD = 9,000, Total = 65,000
2nd week: another 10,000~20,000, Total = 7~85,000
3rd week: another 5,000~10,000, Total = 7~95,000

Anyway, awesome! Shaft-fag = Happy!

  1. If it's anything like video games over in Japan first days sales make up the lion's share.

    if being the keyword.

  2. I think that the final BD has potential to be the best selling for this series.

  3. I agree with Anon. It's a kick-ass one-hour special finale.

This figure is not included online order (such as Amazon). So yeah, the figure can go up much more than this.

  5. Bakemonogatari's first day sales was 15000
The chance of Madoka surpassing Bakemonogatari will be very high

But in my opinion, Madoka is a FAIL if it can not beat IS two times

  6. @Anon: Bakemonogatari 1st volume's first week sales was actually pretty weak, since they only had 40,000~50,000 BD/DVD printed, as they never expected it to become such a big hit.

  7. I was actually hoping the first day sale would be 50,000.

  8. Well, don't forget that it was sold out pretty fast.

  9. There is a huge issue currently
There is a audio issue of Mami, she repeated a line twice, which caused Shaft to call back all the blu-ray discs
SHAFT basically lost half of its profit due to this

  10. To anon above: I don`t think they`ll lose any money since they promise to replace them by late May. Let`s just hope that the ones on the shelves now are fixed.

  11. @Anon: As I said earlier, Aniplex is the one who gets the most loss from this, not Shaft. So, Shaft-fag can be left assured.

  12. You probably don`t know the answer but I`ll ask anyway. Do you think Shaft will get at least 50% of the money from the Blu-rays and DVDs.

  13. 50% is impossible
Shaft is not the investor, meaning at least 60% is gone. The shops and Amazon will get 10%
Even though original animes get more money out of their work,50% is just insane.

  14. @Anon: lol 50%? I say 50% to Aniplex is more believable, and actually possible.

  15. Wow! Your prediction for the first week sale is almost 100% correct! I'm impressed!
