Madoka and IS is good as usual. IS had nipple exposure scene (...), so I expected better sales, but meh. Same as usual. Ao no exorcist was surprise hit. I wasn't thinking it will be this much successful. Azazel was even bigger surprise. Steins;Gate did well, but I expected better. Hidan no Aria and Denpa's sales were almost identical, except Denpa had more proportion of Blu-ray, thus higher profit and much more otaku-oriented. I hoped Denpa to sell more, because its sakuga and BD cover art was just the best thing I've ever seen. On the other hand, Hidan no Aria was one of the worst harem ever.

and...

I KNEW IT KYOANI. NICHIJOU WAS - THE BIGGEST SHIT- YOU HAVE EVER MADE!!!

(Don't remind me endless eight)

and Ano Hana sales data will be out next week. Let's see who's a winner.

  1. Oh and apparently sales mean everything again (wasn't Angel Beats the best! oh wait). Good job highlighting Nichijou's DVD ONLY sales in the BD+DVD list.

  2. I think Nichijou is good, but IS, STEINS;GATE and Ano Hana is crap... so what? <.<

  3. @Anon: Apparently anon, you are minority, if you say Steins;Gate and Ano Hana is crap, Mr. Nichijou fag.

Did I ever say sales means 'everything'? Wow. You clearly have bad eyes. If you read it carefully, especially part where I said Ao no Exorcist and Azazel was unexpected, I'm actually saying sales means 'NOTHING'.

    Fix your eyes, heh heh.

  4. And dear mr. Kyoani fag, our dear Nichijou was not even listed on BD sales chart. Hurr durr.

Good example that badly executed shows get bad sales.

  5. @ringOtamegane: That is not the usual BD chart. It's the anime top 20, which has a much higher trashold than the regular BD top 50 list. So, Nichijou will rank when that comes out on Thursday/Friday.

  6. Am I overthinking things if I suspect that blue exorcist having sold more dvds than blu-rays means it managed to appeal to a more "mainstream" audience and not an otaku audience?

  7. @totoum: No, you're not overthinking, that's exactly the reason why.

Minority or not I have different opinion, you said that Nichijou is crap and stupidly worship everything you like. Still, I didn't called you a fag of X anime because of that... but yeah, that's the only thing you could do.

  9. "Good example that badly executed shows get bad sales"

Some shows get bad sales because they are not popular enough or because there are few people who can enjoy and appreciate these... I'm not saying this is always true, but usually this is the case... -_-

  10. Something fags hate other fags. You didn't know? If people want to say something irritating in someone's personal 'BLOG' without any logical stance or debating mind, just like top two posts did as so called 'trolling', that's their responsibility.

Reason I despise Nichijou is exactly same as why I hate Angel Beats so much. Extreme hypes they created by themselves with all those advertisement and self-anticipation, pouring tons of budget into animation, and falls apart due to horribad execution. Blowing all the potential it has and becomes disappointing work. Just like how Angel Beats ended with, but different end result from Nichijou.

    @totoum: Yeah, I think that's a case too.
